Dana Clover (also known as The Homesteading Housewife) lives outside of Houston, Texas.  She is happily married to the Man of Her Dreams, and together they raise their six children (4 boys and 2 girls) on their small family farm.

Many were introduced to Dana and her family on their episode of Wife Swap on ABC , where she traded lives with a rich, pampered mom from San Francisco.
While on the show, Dana taught her new family how to put less emphasis on clothes, money, and other material things and return to a "simpler" and more frugal way of life.  Of course, this simpler way of life included lots of family time - both doing chores and having fun!

After the show aired, Dana received countless emails and letters from people interested in her way of life and asking her to share some of the homesteading skills she's spent years learning.  From these requests, The Homesteading Housewife website was born.

On The Homesteading Housewife, Dana shares her humorous stories, recipes, tricks and tips about everything from domestic topics such as gardening, canning and quilting to the mishaps/lessons of parenthood to keeping that spark alive in your marriage.
She writes as if you're a girlfriend sitting across the table, both of you enjoying a tall glass of sweet tea and good conversation.

Dana does not pretend to be the perfect wife and mother.  As a matter of fact, she spends a great deal of her time laughing at herself for being so imperfect! Her parenting mishaps have also led her to create the Bad Mothers Anonymous website to give moms a place to share funny and/or embarrassing parenting stories and to feel less alone amongst the countless self-proclaimed "perfect", idealized mothers on the Internet.

Dana has also been featured on several radio talk shows and is currently developing recipes that she hopes to one day publish in a cookbook.

In addition, Dana is currently accepting invitations for speaking engagements and personal appearances.
